He takes his own (collapsal) rod, but the restaurant normally provides us with cut up chicken. Cut up the chicken into really small chunks (less than 1cm) and use very small hooks with barbs on (is the one tip he has picked up over the years of fishing off in Finike has tried everything, every tactic, every hook, you name it, but this works! He normally gets a good haul, which we give away!
normally fishs off the pier at the Finike but there are local folks who fish off the beach between the Baia and the Kevasarary Kundu. Best fishing is early in the day, and then later into the evening!
I normally read a book, listen to my Ipod, go for a massage or shop, but Mr Mitch is happy to fish all day, every day! Or, when I get bored throw bread to the fish . . . on the pretense that it will bring more in!
Tell your OH that the fish with the prickly back are nasty B's and can make your fingers numb. The locals love the ones that are long and thin, calling them Turkish Delight.
